Christmas Eve

It's Christmas Eve and the kids are now "nestled all snug in their beds." They were super cute as we made the final preparations for Santa's visit just before bed time.

We had been checking Google Earth all day to track Santa's current whereabouts. Katie got a mini-geography lesson as she learned where Japan and the Philippines are (although as an outgrowth of this lesson, she has now decided that she is scared of volcanoes). One cool thing, we saw Santa when he was visiting Christmas Island!
At Bedtime, Santa was in Moldova. Moldova, as I know you already know, is just a country or two to the East of Hungary.

The stockings were hung by the chimney on the dining room hutch with care.

Lastly, we got the milk and cookies ready for Santa before heading off to bed.

Anna read the kids "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" as their bedtime story. I always thought it was cool that "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" was first published in my hometown paper.
